PiawPiawYour pet. Your choices.
Privacy, in plain words.
PiawPiaw is made by DopeAI Inc. This page explains the current iPhone beta and this website. Updated 4 November 2026.
On your iPhone
Your pet records and imported photos are encrypted on your iPhone. For newly imported photos, PiawPiaw keeps the original with its location information removed, along with a smaller display copy. They stay until you remove the photo, remove the pet or delete your data.
Backup and sharing
Backup and sync are optional. Records are encrypted on your iPhone before upload. Backup carries the smaller photo copies; full-size originals currently stay on the iPhone.
Lost Mode shares the photos and details you choose so people can help with a search. These shared details are readable. Finder messages stay for 30 days after the search ends. An optional character order sends only the photos you select, with your consent; PiawPiaw’s team uses Higgsfield to make the character. The app explains this before you send. PiawPiaw removes the order photos from its server when the character is ready or you cancel.
AI training is a separate choice
Personal model training has not started. The app can record two separate choices: using photos for a model of your own pet, and using them to improve recognition for all pets. Both are off until you turn them on. No photo is sent for training yet. The notice will be updated before training starts.
You can change these choices under Settings → Privacy & data. Turning a choice off stops new use under that choice. If shared training is introduced, contributions already incorporated into a shared model cannot simply be taken back out; the app’s notice explains this distinction.
Export or delete
You can export your records and photos. Removing a photo removes its original and smaller copy. “Delete all” removes your pet records, photos and reminders on that iPhone and destroys its encryption key.
If you also choose cloud deletion, PiawPiaw removes the account’s backup, shares, searches, character orders and any personal models. Copies in server backups expire within 35 days. Copies already downloaded by other people, such as a shared poster, cannot be recalled.
